Lou Gehrig’s disease- Maladie de Charcot

The illness, a terrible one, is known as
Lou Gehrig’s disease- Maladie de Charcot – known medically as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS.
ALS is rare — it strikes about five in 100,000 people and affects some 350,000 people world-wide.

In his memory in 2000 my mother and the 3 brothers launched a foundation at the HUJ ( Hebrew University of Jerusalem) which in its way is funding every year research on this particular illness.
